Michael Ortiz is the founder and managing attorney of Ortiz Law. He received his law degree from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2015, where he also received a Certificate in Law, Science and Technology with a specialization in Intellectual Property from the ASU Center for Law, Science and Innovation. Mr. Ortiz was a 2014 HNBA/Microsoft Intellectual Property Law Institute Scholar and an Associate Editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal.
Mr. Ortiz has interned for the Honorable Judge Mary H. Murguia in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable Judge Terry J. Hatter, Jr. in the District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division.
Mr. Ortiz served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps, Reserves, earning the rank of Corporal and receiving a Certificate of Commendation before completing his active service in 2012. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Law and Society at the University of California, Riverside, where he was also a member of the Alpha Tau Omega leadership fraternity. During law school, Mr. Ortiz was an executive board member of numerous law student organizations, including the Volunteer Legal Assistance for Artists Association and the Chicano/Latino Law Student Association. Mr. Ortiz is currently on the executive board of the Riverside County Bar Association Barristers and the Hispanic Bar Association of the Inland Empire.
Mr. Ortiz is committed to providing excellent service to his clients. His practice is focused on wills, trusts, probate, and trust administration.
Mr. Ortiz's hobbies include enjoying the outdoors, professional football (he's a LA Chargers fan), philosophy, psychology, and technology.
